Getting the health care you need and deserve feels a lot harder than it should be. We want to help! Below are resources to help you find a provider (from OB/GYNs to surgeons to pelvic floor physical therapists), dig into some bibliotherapy, and hear stories from patients like you.

 

FIND A PROVIDER WHO CARES ABOUT YOU

The International Pelvic Pain Society provides a free service to help you locate health care providers who specialize in pelvic pain. 

GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ Equality provides a free directory of practitioners in your area (from primary care to specialists to dentistry) who are LGBTQ-welcoming.

Finding a provider who knows how to treat endometriosis can be difficult. Endometriosis.org provides resources and advice for finding a practitioner who is a good fit.

AAGL (Elevating Gynecologic Surgery) hosts a provider finder of over 7000 minimally invasive gynecologic surgeons around the world to help you locate surgeons in your area.

The National Vulvodynia Association maintains a database of practitioners who treat vulvar pain—and can help you find a list of these providers near you.

The North American Menopause Society (NAMS) created a directory of health professionals to help you find a menopause clinician who is right for you (from perimenopause and beyond).

The International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) hosts a directory of providers who at least partially devote their practice to women’s sexual health—so you can find a provider who’s right for you.

The Interstitial Cystitis Network maintains a small database of highly-recommended practitioners who treat IC/BPS, bladder, and other pelvic pain conditions.
